The Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) is a non-governmental organisation that promotes IP protection in the Asian region, including Australia and New Zealand. Its next meeting is the 79th Council Meeting in Hong Kong, 29 November to 2 December 2026. The host city and dates for 2027 have not been announced yet.
What is the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA)?
APAA describes itself as a non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting and enhancing intellectual property protection in the Asian region, including Australia and New Zealand.
Its members are IP professionals who meet at Council Meetings and at the General Assembly, hosted by a different member group each time. Patent, trademark and design lawyers from many countries attend.

The APAA 79th Council Meeting takes place in Hong Kong at the Hopewell Hotel, Wan Chai, from 29 November to 2 December 2026. APAA's own welcome message from its President confirms the dates and the city.

APAA did not list a 2020 meeting, because of the pandemic. For 2025, one source places the meeting in Kuala Lumpur while APAA's own event list shows a different location. We follow the Kuala Lumpur reports, and recommend you confirm with APAA.
