The short answer

A Ugandan trademark is registered for 7 years and then renewable every 10 years. The mark is registered from the date of the application, and that date is taken as the date of registration. A mark can be removed if there was no bona fide use for 3 years or more. An applicant who does not reside or carry on business in Uganda must give an address for service in Uganda.
