Trademark Journal
The DPDT published Trademark Journal No. 338 and 339 (April 2026). Marks published in it can be opposed for 2 months, until 16 June 2026. There is no extension. Once the date passes, a conflicting mark proceeds to registration.
What the Trademarks Journal is
The Journal is the DPDT's official gazette of trademark applications that have passed examination and are open to opposition. Section 17 of the Trademarks Act, 2009 requires every accepted application to be advertised in it, and publication starts the opposition period.
